I was asked to create the identity of the Conference Open Design Shared Creativity 2014, organised by FAD, the most important Spanish design and architecture institution. Open design is based on the idea that creativity, and society in general, benefit from the free transmission of information. The culture of open design focuses on how the digital technologies and social media are changing the creative industry. My approach to the project was to create an identity that embodies the full concept of open design.
ODSC /hacked 1 and ODSC /hacked 2 are actually a result of hacking the original identity that I did for the conference: ODSC /0. I wanted to take part in this philosophy of an unfinished and always evolving identity by using altered versions of the original identity along with the different applications of the conference, in this case the brochure and the website.
